About Big Bo's Grill

Big Bo’s Food Service is a family-oriented establishment founded 10 years ago by Chef Justin (Big Bo) Anderson Sr. Justin enjoyed the art and fun of cooking and began cooking at 19 years old selling dinners in the neighborhood in Toledo Ohio. Chef Justin stepped away from the kitchen for a few years and realized that the Kitchen was his home and making people happy was his enjoyment.

Justin became a prep cook/short line cook and within a year he came the Head Banquet Chef at Crown Plaza. Justin then moved up to become the Head Chef at the Hilton Garden Inn. After working Several years for others, he realized his dream was to build his own legacy and open a Food Truck/Restaurant. After leaving the corporate food industry, he Founded Big Bo's Grill.

A little fun fact behind the name Big Bo, Justin late Grandmother “Pat White” nicknamed him BOBO. One day his late Cousin Eric White Jr. asked why they call you BOBO and he told him he doesn’t know. Eric then said maybe because your Big and Outstanding, so that name has stuck with him all his life. Justin has been featured on WDIV channel 4 news “Tasty Tuesday” and WXYZ channel 7 news “Motor City Car Crawl”. Justin and his award-winning Team also won the Best Monstrous Burger Prize at the “Detroit Harvest Festival and Food Truck Rally”.
