Dr. Abou-Chakra is a board certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist, focusing on Musculoskeletal Medicine and Pain Management, including patients with Fibromyalgia.
After receiving his medical degree from University of Damascus, Syria, Dr. Abou-Chakra completed a first residency in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology in Paris, France, followed by multiple fellowships in Spinal Pathology, Hand and Upper Limb Surgery & Arthroscopy.
A second residency was completed in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. Dr. Abou-Chakra holds licenses from the states of Michigan and Ohio, as well as a license in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology that he obtained abroad in France. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR). Dr. Abou-Chakra is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.”
Dr. Abou-Chakra proudly joined the Team of Doctors at the Spinal Reovery Center in December of 2016.
